    Heat wraps - pipes

Well I wasn't necessarily talking about keeping stock pipes. More like simple straight pipes with heat wraps if that makes any sense. Along the lines of gamorg's bros bike. I will post a pic when I get a chance. And Tugla, I am out of Yukon, Oklahoma. Although I did live in Ontario for a bit...

    Heat wraps - pipes

I was wondering if anyone here has had / seen a first gen vmax with an exhaust system that is just heat wrapped pipes. Like what many people put on old school baggers and many hd's. I am just thinking black heat wrapped simple exhaust would look pretty good. A quick google image search of heat...

Extremely difficult to roll in neutral

Sorry all for the much delayed response. Got into putting a suspension lift on my hunting toy and then my wife informed me that a baby is coming. Needless to say, been a little crazy last little bit. Now for the answer that will not answer anything. Rolls perfectly fine in neutral now. Runs...

    Loud "pop" when cranking

Put a new battery in and all is well. Starter clutch it was. I will be sure to keep the battery charged from here on out, first bike I have ever had that would do that.

    Plasti Dip

I plasti dipped the wheels on my G35 and it has held up really well. It has been several months and only marks in the plastidip are from taking lug nuts on and off. When my brother was visiting for the weekend we did his F150 wheels, they have held up as well. Cool and cheap idea, $7 a can at...

Extremely difficult to roll in neutral

Quick update: I have had to travel with work the last few days so the new battery is just now getting charged. If I have time tomorrow evening I will stick it back in and see what we are working with. I roll the Valkyrie Interstate around pretty easily compared to the Max, and it definitely...

Extremely difficult to roll in neutral

Thanks all, In response to RAWarrior - It gets instantly better the moment I started her, not gradually as I would expect if it was cause by cold. It also didn't matter if I was pushing forward or backwards, sitting on the bike or trying to roll it standing next to it. In response to Miles...

Extremely difficult to roll in neutral

Thank you gentlemen for your responses. What I don't understand if it is brake related is why it would be difficult to roll when the bike is NOT running but in neutral and significantly easier when the bike IS running and in neutral. I have had brake pad/caliper/rotor resistance before on...

Extremely difficult to roll in neutral

Alright, so here's something that confuses me. My 2006 Vmax has always been extremely difficult to push/roll when the bike is not running. This is regardless of holding clutch in or neutral. Being my first shaft driven bike I figured this might be the norm. (However , as i think about it, I...

    Loud "pop" when cranking

Alright Gentlemen and Ladies, Got a question and I hope it has a simple and easy no worries answer. Went to start my 2006 Vmax with 9K this evening after not having ridden it in a few weeks and was greeted with a loud metallic sounding "pop" when cranking with choke heavily pulled. Cranked it...

Ran the Vmax against some of my others... Fantastic

If I were to bet before a race between my Vmax and my 954rr I would still, without hesitation, say the 954 would be the solid winner. The 954 power to weight is significantly better than the Vmax. Like mentioned by some the max might have it for a second or two on a roll but the 954 will awaken...

Ran the Vmax against some of my others... Fantastic

Well after bringing the Vmax and the others back to Oklahoma my father and I decided to break my brother out of gardening duty and take a man trip through NE Oklahoma. My dad and I rode my CBR 600 F4 and his 2000 Valkryie up to Tulsa to get my brother and my newly acquired 2006 Vmax out of his...
