Don't be surprised if you get a handful of people telling you about how you're losing horsepower by running a Holley!
I've heard it many many times....lol
Not worried about heating things up. This is my purpose built dare to be different Vmax that launches like a missile. Sure I sacrificed around town nice and smooth driveability but I can tell you, when you crank the throttle wide open this think PULLS on the big end.
How is it starving any cylinder? You do realize for example on a V8 with a single carb runs great and can make huge horsepower.
Dumbing it down? If I had a dollar for Everytime someone on these forums said "sync the carbs" I would be rich. My Holley is so simple to run every day while in the...
The VMax doesn't need any bigger tire than a 170. The bigger you go, the heavier the tire gets and the better chance of snapping a driveshaft. I run my 10" over modded stock swingarm with a 170 series tire, and it needs nothing bigger believe me.
This time around I'm giving a Holley 450 4 barrel a try. The nitrous is an actual Edelbrock square bore plate with 40ish HP jetting. I use a blue nitrous button on my throttle side to activate.
It is stretched a lot. I extended the factory swingarm/driveshaft 10" and raked the front 8". The induction will be my 2nd version of an aluminum intake for a Holley carb and nitrous plate. It looks like a mini tunnel ram. I have to pick it up from my aluminum welder guy then I will post pics.
