I see. Is the stock ignition adjustable? With todays fuel being total crap, I don't see advancing ignition timing as being safe. As for the rev limiter, that's always a good idea if you're racing. Isn't there a stand alone rev limiter available?
What's the big deal with the Dyna 3000 ingnitions or whatever. Why does everyone feel the need to upgrade the ignition? Not much of an upgrade if it doesn't work!

The seat was unbelievably hard when I first put it on! I installed it days after buying the bike, and I wasn't sure I had done the right thing. Now 1200 miles later it's breaking in nicely and is the most comfortable seat I have parked my butt on.
Sean I don't know, but are you saying here that switching to a Venture short block and port job got all this horsepower for you? The increase in CC netted that much performance increase??
There are some excellent carb tuning instructions on this forum, check them out and take your time. There is no instant solution, treat your situation as being unique and you will be successful.
From closed throttle to quarter throttle about, you should be able to adjust the idle mixture screws to get it richer. When you say you lowered the needle. Do you mean you lowered the needle into the main jet or raised the needle? You do that by raising or lowering the clip on the needle as you...
