    1988 VMax for sale - Project Bike & parts - $1,500 OBO

Well, its time for me to pass my Vmax on to someone else to finish. I have a complete 1988 with ~47K miles. clean title, with a lot of extra parts. Since I have had the 88' I have had it running and riding. Then I took it partially apart to paint, then the carbs gummed up, and it sat and sat. If...

40mm to 43mm fork swap - worth it?

I have an 88 max with the 40mm forks that need new seals / possibly bushings. Is it worth upgrading to the 43mm forks & triple tree (supposing I can find some for a decent deal.) Is the 43mm fork a big upgrade? Thanks, Brad

Fork Rebuild and more... what else?

Most likely the bearings are pretty standard, if you give me the timken # I can get a cross reference fairly easily from motion industries (the bearing supplier to the place that I work at) Brad

They said it will be 7 - 10 days, so they probably are not stocking the stuff either. There prices were good, shipping was a little high...

    Front fork rebuild questions

When you rebuilt your front forks which seals do you replace - all of them? Is there a list of what part numbers to purchase? Did you go with OEM parts or aftermarket parts? I have looked through the threads and it looks like the progressive springs are an essential modification when doing a...

    Spark plug wire selection help

Neil Thank you for the tip, it saved me some $$, for ~$24 (with shipping, $17 without) I bought the supplies from Dennis Kirk (they were not available locally). I used 7mm wire so I would not have to trim it. Of course when I made an order I also bought some other things so the shipping...
