    yamaha engines

The V8 SHO's ('96-'99) used a 3.4 liter Yamaha engine. I had a '97. It was a mid size sedan, but very quick and nimble with that mean V8 growl and tons of fun to drive. The earlier SHO's ('89-'95) had the indestructable Yamaha 3 liter V6.

    New American Bike...V4..

I like it. Here's a link to the Motus site: http://www.motusmotorcycles.com/index.html It would be great to see and hear a new American kid on the block. I do feel that offering several versions of the bike would be a wise move for them. While I would be thrilled with a straight-on power drag...

    First Speeding Ticket on Max....

I've become much more selective about where & when I decide to crack the throttle. No tickets yet on the Max. Knock, knock.

    need a 250/+ for wife

Found a 250 Virago near you on CL: http://kansascity.craigslist.org/mcy/1650430092.html Seems like a clean bike. Also a Radian: http://kansascity.craigslist.org/mcy/1652626212.html for $1200. A little bigger, but still lightweight. Check 'em out & good luck.

    "modern medicine''

Good to know you made it through the year okay. Going back and re-reading some of your posts makes me want to go spend some time with my dad while he is still around. Probably ought to thank him for the times he spent with us as kids when we needed him most and he was there. Remember fondly...

    Naked bike suggestions

Here's a couple of bikes listed on Indy's CL that would work perfectly for her; a Fazer & a Virago. Check them out: http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/mcy/1577374627.html http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/mcy/1619030852.html

    Naked bike suggestions

An awesome modern naked bike would be the Honda 919. Very lightweight, maneuverable and powerful, so it may be too much for her, but a very cool bike. Any Yamaha Maxim would be a good starter bike. They are very predictable, reliable and stable with classic styling. My favorite would be a Yamaha...

Yellowstone trip pics up in album

Really cool pics, Rusty. You've gotta be having a blast. Was up in Yellowstone last summer with the wife. Snowed like hell in June too. Crazy weather there.

Easy way to tow my Max?

Yeah, looks pretty scary, dragging the bike from the front tire with just the strap holding it down. It would be a shame if you got there, took the bike down and then found out your tranny was shot. This thing scares me. Go to U-Haul or at least get both tires off the ground.

    Greatest Kill Story Yet

Agreed. I rode my buddy's R1 the other day and it's got power out the wazoo once the revs are up there. It's such a powerful and light weight bike, we only have the advantage off the line for a while before the R1 gets up a head of steam and blows on by.
