My guess would be that the hydraulic pressure is not being fully relieved after the clutch has been used on a ride. The clutch would be under pressure if the drain back is slow and gradually increase until it would simulate a continuous pull by the rider -- bad news for any clutch.

Forks aside, you are riding (most likely) on bias ply tires. These were stock and since there is no choice for the radials on the stock rims. You have 2 choices: 1) put the gripiest bias plys you can find on the wheels. That could help. Or , 2) modify the rear wheel to accept a radial. There...
Just a thought: overpressure can be the result of a stuck thermostat. An overpressurized system might be able to go past the lower speced seals. Had a yamaha engined Ford Taurus SHO and chased an overtemp problem for a while. Guess what? Stuck thermostat.
" BANG"--Like being shot out of a gun. Still a thrill and the radials do work.
Others: SUZ Bandit 1250S -"ZIP" -- Smooth and razor edged .
V92C Victory -- " CHUG" -- Lazy but competent and friendly.
Harley XLH -- " CHARLEY" -- Obvious.
Kind of a spectrum of life and a...
I had a new petcock leak that I put on my Harley Ironhead. The solution was the paste type . This was a last ditch try as I had used tape several tries earlier. I think the paste will fix it and keep your fuel sending unit.

Bad backs are a sign of old age! Since I qualify in age area, I too had the issue before with "Bang" ( my Max) before some easy ergo mods. A small riser (3/4") and forward controls cured my problem. I also ride with a lambskin gel seat which makes 200 mi rides well within my comfort zone. Good...
Prices vary all over theplace so I went to cycle gearand bought a modular, blue tooth, bright yellow for $169 on sale. If you go this route, heed the buy larger warnings. Ihave 8 helmetsforvarious rides but the Cycle Gear Bilt is the one for Mr Max (referred toas "Bang").
I also use one of these on the VMax. I do not use the strap, held on only by butt pressure.
It's a necessary piece of comfort.
Per the expected mileage in a day , figure 2 - 300 miles per with sensible rest stops (2 of those will be for fuel with the VMax).
Have a great time , do the upper...
Yeah, I had the low speed gollywobbles and followed the excellent advice on this forum.
Check steering head bearings for wear and most importantly RETORQUE them to spec.
For whatever reason Gen 1 s are prone to this instability.
This is the easiest, cheapest and most effective "fix". Try it...
I don't have a pic . I'll try to get one.
Yeah, the cost was a shock to me.
Since I was verbally committed , I went for it.
I do think the front is a stock wheel.

Well guys, I went ahead and did the swap but it did cost me $400 - somewhere the communication of money exchange broke down in the beginning of the deal.
The handling seems to be lighter; less effort required although it was pretty good with the Metzlers.
I will put on a slightly smaller (170...
Wow!!
Sounds like if all the mods are straight , I should jump on it.
It is an even swap , so that makes it a "no brainer".
As I 've said before Great advice here.
Thanks again , Bros.
