No pressure in intake for carb1

Thanks for your replies. I know the pressure gauge works right because I used it just a couple of days to sync carbs on another bike. I also hooked it to another cylinder to eliminate the possibility of a bad gauge. I agree it's probably not a compression problem in the cylinder, because I know...

No pressure in intake for carb1

Hi guys, I took apart the carbs on my 2006 vmax, replaced jets and gaskets. Put it all back together and proceeded to sync the carbs. Found that I have no pressure in carb1 (left rear), see picture attached. Also found that the black plastic "cylinder" in the diaphragm assembly behaves different...

How to press the carbs block down

    Attaching breather hose

Thanks to all for the tips! I managed to attach the hose to the airbox. For everyone's benefit I took some pictures of the steps I took. See attached.

    Attaching breather hose

Thanks Brian. From where on the bike to you approach it? From the sides ("thru" the carbs) or from the back (like behind the coolant container)? Or from the "top", by trying to attach the hose to the airbox before actually placing the airbox? Cheers!

    Attaching breather hose

Hi guys, I just put the airbox back in place after cleaning the carbs and can't figure out to save my life how to re-attach the crankcase breather hose to the underside of the airbox. Can't find a way to reach it. What tricks do you guys have up our sleeves? Thanks! PS: Apologies if this...

    Fuel leak and white smoke

Coincidentally I'm in the middle of putting the carbs back together on my other vmax - this was the first time I took them apart. You're right, it'll be a lot easier the second time. Thanks for the tip on setting the floats.

    Fuel leak and white smoke

Thanks Casey! Was planning to take the carbs apart anyway, so I guess that's what I'll do first.

    Fuel leak and white smoke

Hi guys, the last time I had started my 2005 vmax was a couple of months ago. I started it today. Started fine. Left it running in the garage and went inside the house for some breakfast. Came back 15 min later, the bike was still running but there was a bunch of gas on the floor, and white...

    electrical issues

thanks guys. I thought about a bad main switch, or a bad kill switch or a bad kickstand switch, but the part I can't understand is why pressing the start switch (gently without disturbing the bike) kills the circuit...

With transmission in neutral we turn the key to the on position and no lights come on. Not the neutral light nor the headlight (as they...
