Im getting ready to order some engine parts tomorrow and i'm trying to figure out rod bearing sizes. I cant find any measurements for the rod bearings. I understand yamahas way of doing it but i'm using aftermarket rods and i would like to get it right the first time. My best option so far is...

It may be an easy answer maybe not. The intake manifolds have two bolts each. cyl. no.s 2 and 3 outboard are in oil ports all others appear to be dry. Oem parts show two different bolt part no's and the cave painting from yamaha shows them as two different lengths, longer in the wet holes...

Wel I electrocuted myself 13 times, gave the dog lung cancer, probably increased my electric bill by 26% and figured out at least half of the wrong ways to powder coat. But at least i don't have to pay for it anymore.

Does anybody have any experience with cerakote on exhaust systems? I am doing the motor and was thinking about the exhaust. Its a set of stainless hindle head pipes if it makes any difference.

I am mulling over engine options for a new motor. I am thinking about a venture1300 build is there a better set of cases/ liners or are they all the same? 1-1.5 mm bore is all i need a 1327-1344 motor would work. Will the venture tolerate a 1.5 bore?

I've been working on the carbs of the bandaid motor for several days and i actually think i am getting dumber by the minute. I have a bike that starts hard but idles like a watch and the second you touch the throttle it dies. I have had them on and off three lunches, two dinners, one 30 pack...

Does anybody know if 85-86 rear wheel hubs are hollow?

i was unable to find bushings for the venture arm locally now we have these. 4140 steel and a couple hours. 17mm id, 20mm od, 32 mm long. with a 28x9 mm flange.

seems the po found a cleaver solution to those pesky yamaha wiring connectors. quick disconnect too...none of that annoying solder.

I swapped my front end today from a complete 85' assembly to an 03' fork with an 85' wheel. After setting it down I realized it was lower even without all of its parts. If anybody has time I could use a measurement from these two points. From the bottom edge of the lower tripple to the...

can anybody i.d. these mirrors? the tall/long one is on both of the 85's so i believe they are correct. the short mirror is on the 03' parts bike and i only have 1 and I would like 2. I believe it is also stock. 85'. and 03' share the same part number. Does anybody else have these short mirrors?
