Surely a generic damper.... the bracket coming with it do mention Vmax.... I do not see where the threaded mount can bolt on the frame, this was the intent of my question....

Since I got my 2nd 1st GEN Vmax in 1995 I have been able to beat the death wooble away for a long time... Now that I had to attach a sidecar to her it is back with a vengeance. It is, kind of, the price to pay with a sidecar but it is scary and happens only some time with no rime or reason...

That's interesting... This sensor is for the light and the relay? So maybe there is a way to keep the light and passby the relay? Since my 1st Vmax in 1986 I've been bothered by this silly setup... About time I start working on it!!

Sorry too: what's the use of a light AND a switch? You don't feel when your bike is running out of gas and have to hit the petcock??? Need a light for this??? Once again: this was not the question.... Why having a switch/petcock when there is a light or why a light when there is a switch...

Has anyone transformed the reserve system on a Gen1 to make it work as a Gen2, or like on any FI bike? I'll be happy with only a light showing that fuel is getting low without the complication of a switch/relay etc! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think I may have a problem with the reserve on my Gen1: after the light is on either the control switch (at the handlebar) does not work, or the sender assembly on the bottom has a problem. It happened around 10 years ago already, but I can't remember how I resolved the problem!! Any idea...

Even if it is the 2nd time in 21 years I have to change a fork seal I am wondering if it useful to take the fork apart? Is there not a way to, once the clip is off (and certainly the oil), to just slide the dead seal off and replace it? Not sure the cap/tube thread will stand another dismantle...
