    Front fork boots

I just dropped in to let others know what I did to avoid having to redo the front fork seals almost annually. I put New Aftermarket boots on both tubes and have not had them spring a leak since. And when they leaked, they leaked a lot. After the 3rd time in 5 years having to redo a seal, I...

L3K tanks - back in stock

Just dropping in to update, when I ride sane and not risking tickets I don't get the flashing low fuel light until after 100 miles. Turns out It does have K&N Filters and a modified exhaust and a Power Commander module with 2 tunes preset. Occasionally I think about filming it continuously from...

    2009 starts then dies.

Update: Discovered the bike has a Dyno Jet Power Commander 5 module with a switch for 2 preset MAPs. One of the tunes it dies on hot starts unless the throttle is advanced. Taking it in for a Dyno tune in a couple weeks. Since it came from Low elevation and I live at 10,000 feet and virtually...

    2009 starts then dies.

Not yet, got the bike in March. I'm guessing you mean factory Yamaha? I checked for aftermarket manuals and couldn't find one. I will check my #s and if the little mark is there. Thanks for the tip.

    2009 starts then dies.

Almost 6000 miles on it, and has sat for the last couple years.

    2009 starts then dies.

My 2009 dies if I don't give it a little throttle when I start it after riding it for a while. If I start it with a little throttle and don't let off the throttle for several seconds, then it stays running. And the manual says to have the dealer adjust the idle speed. Is it hard to do?, I...

    Gen 2 windshield

I have the Boulevard and it just isn't enough. I went for a ride in some strong winds today and I was getting thrashed by the wind on top of the speed I was going. I swear it switched directions and got me both ways too. I am probably going to get the OEM one and sell the Boulevard.

L3K tanks - back in stock

I barely made it home 80 miles today, had the low fuel light go on in the tach. Apparently averaging 80 to 95 and going a lot faster than that too on a mountain road where most corners could be taken at 60 plus mph and getting up over 120 a few times drops the mileage down in the low 20s. I...

L3K tanks - back in stock

I can't explain it. This bike has had a lot of custom work done but I don't have anything other than a Dyno sheet and the bike itself. When I rode it home a digital sign that shows how fast you are going said I was going 65 when the speedometer read 70 and that sign reads pretty close on my...

Uh, yeah, I see tourons sticking their faces in a cut out of South park Characters in front of a T shirt shop on Main Street. I barely know which character is which because I don't watch adult cartoons for long. :confused2: But yes it is that South Park.:th_peace:

L3K tanks - back in stock

I just got an 09 with 5100 miles last week . Rode it down to Denver to a couple bike shops just to look at stuff and got stuck in rush hour traffic getting from one side of town to the other. Checked the fuel gauge and it was flashing. Checked the tripmeter and it read 123 miles. I got to a...

It has it's advantages. Only 1 traffic light for over 23 miles in one direction and over 35 miles all the other ones. Got to open it up a little on my first ride on the new bike.

Hey all, Just signed up today. Got a 2009 VMAX last Wednesday, put a couple hundred miles on it so far, but it's snowing here at 10000 feet today. Going from a Virago to a VMAX is huge, I like it.
