just bought an '06 with 8000 miles

Couldn't agree more, ya done great on that bike! And yep, the 07' is the quickest! Haha, welcome and super nice Max. 8 k, it seems sad when you say it out loud, these machines are definitely happiest when there's bugs in their scoops! Ride on all. Sent from my XP7700 using Tapatalk

    Miles Till Reserve

I see the range is pretty close for all. I went on a 3500 mile ride this summer, I managed to drain my tank at 73 miles once, but that was when playing catch-up to the pack for 25 minutes, nit smart I know, but super fun! Mostly, I need to be looking for a fuel stop at about 85 miles, normal...

    Vmax Wobble

Tramahawk, all, Yes sir, that was exactly it. Did the "bounce test" as Sean's video suggests. Tightened up the bearings as it bounced like nuts. Went out for a blast, all gone, nice and steady. Man I love this forum......thanks again for the sage advice. Sent from my XP7700 using Tapatalk

    Ethanol and fuel stabilizer

Hey all, great info and advise, nice to get some of the technical info as well, thanks wkdenton. Never used Seafoam before, but being a car/ carb guy, definitely believe in the stabilizer, I've seen first hand the crud that this ethanol rubbish leaves behind after not that long of a time period...

    Vmax Wobble

Hey all, out for a fantastic 10 day adventure on the Vmax a week and a half ago, noticed a handlebar wobble, like a speed wobble, but only when decelerating at about 20-30 mph. Makes me feel pretty uncomfortable when I reach off the bars with one hand to raise my helmet visor, or wave to someone...

Thanks for that davesax36, I actually have chatted with fire-medic about it. Was just thinking it would be nice if there was some options closer to home. I'll wait till winter and send the wheel of to fire-medic then, the riding is pretty crappy up here in winter months! (By that I mean non...

Also welcome to bigglagg out in Manitoba! I'm pretty new here too, just got my Max in Feb! I'm out near Edmonton Alberta. Curious about your "Kosman" rear wheel conversion, never heard of it. Do you know where it came from? Like where is this Kosman conversion available? What size is your...

    How much oil?

Thanks for the help. How much do you pour in after an oil drain and new filter? Just so I know for next time.....Save draining good oil and wasting! Sent from my XP7700 using Tapatalk

    How much oil?

I see this is a pretty old post, but serviced my 07' today, as per the manual for capacity, filled er' up with 4 litres if Rotella T 15-40. The book says the oil level should be in between the high and low lnes beside the sight glass when the bike is level. Drained probably 1/2 litre out...
