For those with a K&N filter, how often are you cleaning/re-oiling the air filter? Service manual says to replace the filter at 24K miles so I assume that would be a good guess to clean it, or maybe a little before.

That isn't two pieces...parts diagrams will do this sometimes to avoid having to show the entire piece so it fits on a page. It's part #2 & 23 on ronayers fische & I think it is what you need too. As far as replacing it or not, I'd give it a few rides & see if it leaks fluid.

That is good to hear...I was scratching my head about why the service manual said the exhaust, airbox & throttle bodies had to come off for that cover.

Question about the generator/starter clutch cover on the left side. Service manual says exhaust has to come off to remove this cover. Wondering how true that is...looks like there is plenty of room to get the cover off the dowels before the front of the cover would hit the front exhaust pipe.

You don't necessarily have to bleed them. Be sure to clean the built-up junk on the pistons with brake cleaner & a tooth brush BEFORE pushing them in to make room for the new pads. And depending on how far you push them in, you might need to pump the lever a few times to get them pushed back...

No problem...I did this just last week. Also might try taking some sandpaper & lightly sanding the friction surfaces.
