    Hi to all

Now you have a wife, 2 children, a cat, a rabbit, a Vmax, and a lot of crazy motorcycle friends. Welcome.

    Got her running but.....

Might as well rebuild the slave while you have the system drained to do the master. Might avoid a second surgury and increases the chances that your problems will be gone.

Drag racing questions for Gen 1 vmax

I'm thinking 111 octane would increase carbon buildup because the fuel would not burn completely. Is there some other logic?

To rebuild or not to rebuild

It's normal that the bike would stutter if you run it with the choke off before it warms up. Those fuel levels do look strange. Was the bike running or just static?

    Got her running but.....

You already know the right move is to acquire the bike with 12k miles. Then you just have decide what to do with 95k mile bike. You could keep it runing, use it for spare parts and/or part it out, or sell it outright.

    2005 Resurrection

Seems to me that air in the line would prevent the cluch from disengaging (to me, slipping is disengaging). The problem is the clutch is not full engaging (grabbing). It means smething is preventing the system from relaxing to the rest state. It might be the slave is sticky. It might be the...

    Saddlemen Bag

I'm pretty sure a PO fabricated that bracketry. I have the same bag on my Vmax, but it is branded Viking. Mine is adequate without the bracketry, but it would certainly benefit from it. The bottom of my bag is starting to droop over the sides of my luggage rack..

    Towing with a dolly

I think you are worried about the trans lubrication with good cause. With no oil circulating, there is risk. I wouldn't do it.

    Help Carb Sync

I have the blue gauges. I bought some nylon T fittings and rubber hoses to make a fixture to connect all four gauges to one carb. I check them once-in-a-while. They don't drift from my original adjustment.

    Help Carb Sync

There are two throttle cables; a push-pull arrangement. While you are in the service manual, you can find how to adjust the cables.

    Carburetors cleaning

Could be a stuck float. You might try rapping the suspect carb bowl with a screwdriver handle to see if the float comes unstuck. This has happened to me several times on other model bikes.

    Carb Tuning

The idea that all cylinders would have similar bad vacuum leak seems improbable. I think most of us would expect the carbs need to come apart for a thorough cleaning.....and you can check the jet sizes while you are in there.
