I only buy 100% cotton tee shirts and not from China for logo and motorcycle details. Your tee shirts look good.

    Gurue ECU?

I sent my Gen 2 ECU to Tim from Australia no problems. As long as Tim knows what you have done or plan doing to you Vmax he will tune ECU to match. My Gen 2 is so much nicer to ride after Tim did my ECU. I have Cat removed and K&N air filter mods.

Grippy tires for the Vmax 1700

I now have my own tyre fitting machine and have fitted a Dunlop Q3 240/40-18 rear on my Gen 2 Vmax without any problems. You need a decent compressor, wire brush rim bead area and lubricate tyre lips and rim bead areas. It worked for me.

changed rear tire - speed indicator not working / ABS stays amber

I know it was very important not to allow the ABS sensor once removed during rear wheel removal and hanging by its wire not to contact any metal. I tape it up in a safe position during my rear wheel removals.

    2nd Gen Highway Pegs

I never tried to sell my highway pegs although I have been asked if I would make more. The problem is the price. By the time you buy the components there are others available. I have been happy to give details when asked to those who were thinking of making the bracket themselves. I have been...

    2nd Gen Highway Pegs

I had a set of YOSHIMURA crash sliders on my trackbike and crashed. The sliders shattered to peices instead of slowly grinding away and protecting the bike. I bought the YOSHIMURA sliders assumming they would be selling a quality product. ARTY

    2nd Gen Highway Pegs

Hi 59SKI I made my own highway pegs as I was not happy with the looks and or quality of the other highway pegs available. For my pegs you need to purchase a set of SATO engine sliders $200 US and a set of Gen 1 folding passenger footpegs $160 US approx and then make the aluminium bracket...

    2nd Gen Highway Pegs

Highway Pegs and engine sliders. First purchase a set of Sato Sliders for a Gen 2 Vmax. Next get a set of rear footpegs from a Gen 1 Vmax. Then make a 6mm thick aluminium bracket.

    Vmax 1700 Engine Guards

To achieve footpegs at the same height, one is mounted ontop of slider and the other underneath. I have used 6mm thick aluminium plate to make bracket, It is also necessary to remove a bit of slider material. I used rear footpegs of 1987 Yamaha FJ1200 only available 2nd hand, however Gen 1 rear...

My gauge which I think came from CycleOneOff came with a plastic / nylon washer which leaked. I changed to a copper washer with correct torque and has not leaked since (8 years)
