Yeah it’s a head scratcher for sure. Probably could check the fuel filter but it’s only 3ish years old, same with the tank, it’s brand new. Floats check out to factory spec. Only things I haven’t fooled with is the idle mixture screws, but I thought you couldn’t fool with those on these carbs?

So I’ve been having a progressively worse overheating problem with the bike. Noticed it overheating bad one day sitting in traffic and the bike will run horrible, would barely idle/rev past idle until I got it moving, once it’s moving it cools down some, but still hotter than it normally does...

Looking for a pair (both left and right) of the scoops for a 1985 Max (not sure if there’s a difference between the years). Mine are kinda corroded and it takes away from the look of bike and would like to get new ones. Can’t find any on eBay that are any better than mine

Yeah COPs would be nice, never looked in to them what would be some that you’d recommend? Also I went on ignitech website and I saw nothing about them making a Ignition box for the vmax or even Yamaha for that matter, if you had a link that’d be cool

Ok. I guess I’m going to have to replace the CDI because the battery is brand new and every thing on the charging system checks out. Not looking forward to spending the 900$ish bucks for a new one but it is what it is. Thanks for the help man
