    Not a radial but you can use a 120 80 18 Avon Roadrider II on the stock front rim. It's sold as a rear tyre but you can reverse the rotation to use it up front. Profile matches a 170 80 15 Michelin Commander Ii very well. Compounds are very similar between the two. I'm not a fan of oversized...

    race tech gold valve issue

    I'm sure everyone's aware of this but just in case: Years ago, on GP race bikes, we used a very thin tie-wrap (zip tie) on the fork leg to accurately measure both sag and deflection / travel. A tight, oil-soaked, piece of string can do the same job, as long as it's tight on the fork stanchion.
