Can't beat a road trip and 32 oz. steak!

Dude, you just need to leave Idaho on another trip to Bend and accidentally veer south at Burns!

Can't beat a road trip and 32 oz. steak!

It's pretty simple to find although it's in the middle of the desert. You can google maps it. Basicly, about 5 miles south of Silver Lake on East Bay Rd. Dinner is $23.75. You have to call and make reservations. There's no menu. You just tell them ahead of time whether you want the chicken meal...

Can't beat a road trip and 32 oz. steak!

I prefer not to comment on my cousin's posterior. It's hardness is none of my business. Seriously, he's a stud of a rider. (Very hard to keep up with in the corners on that supermoto believe it or not). Probably half of the time he rode standing up. About 800 miles in 2.5 days! I'm ready to go...

Can't beat a road trip and 32 oz. steak!

Went on a trip through the Oregon cascades and high desert this weekend. Three days of camping and 32 oz. of beef steak at the Cowboy Dinner Tree restaurant in the middle of no where. I'm seriously ready to go again.

    Fuel milage ?

Hey, I think what Mark means is: the next time the light comes on, go immediately and fill up so that you know how many gallons you've 'used'. Notice I didn't say how many gallons you've 'burned'. I was just washing gas through my number three cylinder because the wire that fired it's coil had...

    Age of Vmax owners

31- bought mine last summer. I had a v45 magna before that. Definately a step in the right direction. I rode dirt bikes for years. But with a wife and 4 little girls, yes I said FOUR, it wasn't realistic to play in the mud so much any more. The vmax satisfies that void pretty well. I can still...

    Fork brace

I bought my bike last summer. It has the superbrace fork brace on it. It is a beautiful part. I took some mother's aluminum and mag polish to it last weekend and it shines like glass. I have never ridden any other vmax, so I don't know how it handles in comparison to others. I have NEVER...

Lookin' for a MAX in Oregon

Hey My cousin is looking at joining the ranks. We're here in Oregon and there are a few for sale on craigslist, etc. but he wants to exhaust all sources before he gets one. Does anyone have a vmax for sale? Thinking about it? Know anyone else that does? Let me know! -Travis

    New CDI ignitor?

Well, I DID ride mine like that for months. Ignorance is bliss....... it's also very embarrassing, (but since I'll probably never see any of you in person, I'm ok with letting you in on my idiocity- BIG word huh). Since I'm blabbing on without talking about my bike problem, you may have guessed...

    New CDI ignitor?

If anyone does have any experience with this personally though, I wouldn't mind hearing it. We have a pretty adept electronics department here where I work so if I do have a blown diode or something of that nature I can probably fix it. I really would love it if someone had a list of the parts...

    New CDI ignitor?

Hey Sean, maybe you can shoot me some prices. Thanks, -Travis.

    New CDI ignitor?

Hey peoples. I'm pretty sure I have a bad channel on my ignitor box. I have a 2002 with no spark to one cylinder. I've spent a good deal of time checking into it. Heck, Mark even wasted the best part of his night on the phone with me last night. I haven't yet pulled the thing apart to look at...

    What gasket do I need?

Hey, I've got a question. I'm wanting to replace a gasket on my bike. It's the one under the cover right next to your left foot. I noticed a couple months ago that it was weeping when warm at the upper front corner. I just dabbed a little silicone on it to stop it. Now it's time to change the...

    Has anyone tried this battery?

I'm on the market for a battery finally, I found the Power Star PS-680 is supposedley a direct replacement for the Odyssey PC 680. At $44 it is roughly $80 cheaper. Has anyone tried it or do you know anyone who has? Don't want to buy a piece of knock off crap if I can keep from it! Thanks.

    What do I have?

I don't have my camera with me, but I did ride my bike to work. After looking at it and looking through all their products, I think that the following link is what I have: http://www.worksperformance.com/html/street_pair_street_tracker_drs.html I'm mainly wondering if I can lower them a...

    What do I have?

Well well well, I guess the po did a few things to this that he neglected to tell me about. Are these shocks adjustable?

    What do I have?

I've only had this bike for a month and a half and I noticed that my shocks had a sticker that said 'Werks' or something like that on them. It didn't look stock to me and I'm wondering if it is or not. What should a stock 2002 shock be?

    What do you think?

Birthday's over and I just got 27 mpg on the last tank. Still not good enough! I'm going to try to check the float levels this weekend. Just a tripple check to make sure I have this right: 1. Level the bike 2. Attach clear hose to drain hose 3. Open drain screw a little 4. Hold hose up...

    What do you think?

Thanks a bunch for the replies and encouragement. My wife's birthday is in two days, so I'm going to lay low on the attention I give my bike this week. I do think the next step is to check the floats and give those jets a thorough cleaning. I'll reply to this post again when I'm in need of...

    What do you think?

I'm not too excited about tearing the carbs apart. no offense to the prior poster but can anyone else concur with him. I want some sustantial motivation to do this. I'm also going to need some serious walk throughs on how to do it. Thanks, Travis
