Boy did I screw up. Could use some ideas.

I successfully drilled a couple of mine out before using a bit about half the size of a mix screw. Just need to be very careful and do not too deep. once you get through the main body, pick the parts out with a "pick" carefully and the threads shouldn't get damaged. Worked well for me.

    Choke issues

Even with the tiny bit of choke it sputters with cylinders dropping from flooding and the RPM is too low to sustain the idle until I can massage it long enough to warm up.

    Choke issues

I need a tiny bit of choke to start, but its the same problem in cold temps and then that small window doesn't work to start the bike. I run a kerker 421 with a marks can on the back, Morley airbox, slide springs, air correctors and mikuni brand jetting only (155).

    Choke issues

Help! I am stumped. My choke seems to flood the bike bad when starting and drops out cylinders. I have two sets of carbs and changed the right side set twice and cannot get the idle screws to act properly even after sonic cleaning as well. I am using stage 7 needles with all stock air jets and...

    Too much political talk

Depends on what country you are from mostly I guess. I am not all that familiar with the US constitution and don't understand the passion around some of the "rights". I personally don't find it annoying but it is distracting to see such polarization on a site of passion and dedication.

What do your plugs look like?

Marks 4 into 2 jetting question

Looks like stage 1 needles. You will need to pop the carb rack off, split the carbs and check the main jetting. I am guessing they are simply too fat. Adjust your idle screws to 2.5 turns and see how it runs, if the brass idle screw plugs are missing.

Carb 3 & 4 mixture screws do nothing

The stand issue was in reference to the angle of the bike..IE not level from side to side. I was wondering if that could have float level and other effects. Not meant to derail the thread.

Carb 3 & 4 mixture screws do nothing

I can 100% confirm that Canadian bikes had adjustable factory needles. My 85 and 3 other friends bikes all had adjustable needls from a variety of years. My latest 97 Max is a US import that had no adjustable needles and after a few tries with Dyna stage 1, I ended up with stage 7 needles. My...

    PAJ2 question.

I have been fighting with jetting for a while now and kept thinking "needs to be leaner" and could not resolve sputtering at 4k and sluggish crossover at 6k. I say piss on it and dropped main jet two sizes, pilot screws 6 turns out and...... it never ran better. I have more to tweak but this...

looking for adjustable levers for an 85

I got on board with the $42 adjustable finger length ones. They fit fantastic and look even better. As noted above, no place to put the spring for the brake lever and no adjustment for plunger engagement. I am contemplating tweaking them a bit to add a "button" to take up the plunger slack and...

    Frame braces

No Welding, chromed or black. Not expensive but nice. Not "gaudy". Fits Corbin, Stock, Morley, Sportmax etc seats. I have holes burning in my pocket, need any "testers" ?? =)

    Daytona Steering damper

Here are some pics of mine showing centered then to both right and left full frame stops. I have no binding and the dampener works really well (7 stiffness settings). Note the only trimming I had to do was a tiny groove on the black plastic cover between the instrument cowl and the scoops. I...
