Good news! Sean hit the nail on the head....Four new plugs and she's running like a champ! Thanks everyone for the advice!

I'm leaning toward the problem being the plugs. I tried getting it running with starting fluid down the carbs with no luck. That makes me think the plugs are fouled up or something of that nature.

A/F screws are back to original settings..made sure of that.

Fuel pump is working...I could hear it fill the bowls when I turned the switch. I was planning to pull the plugs tonight after work and taking a look at them. I'll stop by the parts store and pick up some new plugs and give that a try. Thanks for the quick responses!

I started to get the stumble and did the shotgun on the carbs (not my first time). I got everything cleaned and put back together now the bike won't start at all! The bike did run right before I did the shotgun as I was checking to see which side the stumble was coming from. All it does now is...

My VMax was my first bike also. Took the drivers test on it at the DMV and passed it the first time after only having my learners for a month.

I'm sure I'll be asking plenty of questions. The bike is bone stock other than Kerker slip-ons the PO put on there. I was a little intimidated by her at first but as time goes by I'm getting to know her better. I'm still a little careful in the turns but the straight aways are my new friend!

Hey guys, Been reading around for a little while trying to gather all the information I can. Just bought a 97 Max a couple months ago and I'm addicted. This is my first bike so I'm new to the bike scene but I'm loving every minute of it. Just thought I'd drop a line and say hi.
