it ran perfect, but leaked a bit (very little) from the left crankcase, so i decided to replace the gasket. i drained the oil and took off the crankcase cover, and the starter idle gears fell out. installed the new gaskets, checked my service manual to make sure i got the gears back right...

sometimes the fuel will stop going to the fuel pump. ill break down, take off the seat, and unplug the tube between the filter and pump, and ill hear a lot of pressure release and the fuel draining back into the tank. -then it runs fine until the next ride. what can be done about this pain...

just tried engine ice and id like to let you folks know that it's worse than the 2 year old prestone i replaced...beware!

so i replaced the coolant, drained the old stuff completely, and added new just like the manual says. i started it up, ran fine for about a minute until all the gas in the carbs (i guess) was up, then it went dead. the fuel pump ticks, but no gas seems to be reaching the carbs now. anybody...

i bought progressives (standard size). do i have to remove the bottom fork leg, or can i just swap the springs by pulling them out the top of the fork? thanks for any help

i like the look of the lower bike with progressives, but im not willing to compromise smoothness. does having shorter shocks affect create a harsher ride than the extra 1 or 2 inches from stock height shocks? thanks for any help

Im prepping for the winter. i usually just fill the tank and add stable, but since i've been reading about how the ethanol in gasoline wears out carb seals, i think id rather drain the carbs, but i dont know how. should i attempt it or should i just stick to my tradition?

for those whove ridden both, does the difference in fork size make any noticeable difference in how quick the steering is?

i bought a set of universal u-clamp pegs, but no matter how hard i tighten them, they dont stay in place. :ummm: any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
