Hi, Does this system come complete with rear down pipes? And does anyone know if they are available in the UK? I am in need of a complete system and dont have the stock rear pipes. Thanks, Alan.

Just wondered if any UK guys would have an idea how much I should be asking for my VMAX. It is an 1985 american import, new tyres, brakes and MOT. Quite high mileage at 45000.

Isn`t the supply to the coils a high frequency AC voltage as it is basically a transformer and transformers dont work on DC voltage. Just a thought, a coil has extra "resistance" when fed with an AC voltage its called inductive reactance. I went with the method of, fit them and see what happens...

Re: COP update and New TCI... I have done the COP mod on my VMAX, I knew it was a good idea because I did it on my zzr about 18 months ago. Anyway the VMAX started straight up after being sat for 2 months and I know it would never have done that on standard coils so that is a major improvement...

Nice one Chris my vmax is running like a dream now. I didnt have the vent tubes so made some up out of clear pipe and electrical mini trunking, it worked a treat. Never would have guessed them pipes would cause so many problems. Thanks again, Alan.

If turning out the thumb screw does not slow the idle speed down try turning the throttle closed. If the engine dies on you the carb sync is way out, I had this problem and it took a while to work it out. Sorry should have said it is not normal the idle speed is about 1000 rpm. Cheers, Alan.

Never thought of the vent tubes as they were off the bike when I got it. I have been looking at some pictures of the tubes, can anyone tell me what the metal bit is at the airbox end of the tube? Are these tubes open ended or is there something on them were they connect to the airbox? Cheers...

Sorry should have also said I have no vent tubes on the carbs and the rubbers look to be in good condition they were quite soft maybe not that old. Do these carbs need the vent tubes what reason do you think the old owner would have removed them? Thanks again, Al.
