Anyway he purchased another one and behold it will not catch any threads...

    HMF VS Stock exhaust

4gasem, I forgot to tell you that my 06 could pull up the front tire anywhere and anytime with the simple twist of the throttle in 1st gear from the day I bought it.... HMF didnt " help " it any. Maybee your forgetting what your stock vmax was like?

    HMF VS Stock exhaust

Ok, I'm runing at sea-level...I thought you normally have to increase the main jet size from stock when running a free flowing exhaust like HMF? my stock is 152.5 I called tom at python motorsports, he said I may wanna try replacing my jetting with 155 or maybe even 157.5 and getting a...

    HMF VS Stock exhaust

Hi guys, I have to say I'm really happy with my new HMF for the sound and fit....But i have to say the vmax just don't seem as powerful in the low, mid, top with the new HMF's . It seems like to me that while I had the stock exhaust on on roads that I could never WOT, with the new HMF I can WOT...

Hi there, I also had the factory exhaust mod done as well. I thought the sound couldn't get any better, and thought it sounded like a " Small block chevy "as well.......................... Until a few weeks ago I made a Huge decision to part with some of my hard earned money and purchase an HMF...

    HMF / My spark plugs

Hi folks, I just installed my new HMF on my 06 max, it has 100 % STOCK carbs, with a K & N replacement filter. It seems to run fine. However I am unsure if she is running rich or lean...it''s really hard to tell ...so I snapped a picture of one of my plugs for all the Carb Air/fuel Guru's out...

Just purchased an HMF ( polished )...questions for the HMF owners

ok...depends on the " current tune of the bike " well all I can say is that it only has 6400 km's ( 2006 model ) It has a T-boost and a K & N filter with the drilled exhaust mod. I keep the carb's sync'd regularily and the vmax in it's current state can pull from 5th gear from 1500 RPM with no...

Just purchased an HMF ( polished )...questions for the HMF owners

OK...so putting the HMF exhaust will not DEGRADE performance over the stock exhaust in the low, mid and high rpm range given that I don't want to make any changes to the carbs at all. All I have is a t-boost, K & N filter, and runnin at sea level. ( COMPLETLY stock carb settings ) P.S...

Just purchased an HMF ( polished )...questions for the HMF owners

so are you saying that my 06 with the new HMF is NOT gonna perform as well as my current stock setup in the low to mid? To be honest I live in a pretty small place and most of my riding is done in that range.

Just purchased an HMF ( polished )...questions for the HMF owners

Really?? I always thought from what I read that jetting is a must....and I would have to richen the mixture when putting an aftermarket header? Or is the T-boost on often, K&N filter, and the fact that I'm at sea level have alot to do with not needing carb rejetting?

Just purchased an HMF ( polished )...questions for the HMF owners

Anyone purchase this system and leave the Carb setting stock? I really don't wanna be messing with the inside of the carbs. I have a T-boost, K&N Filter, and I ride with the t-boost on 90 % of the time . My stock jet sizes are 152.5 for 2,4 and 155 for 1,3. and I'm at Sea-level...

    HMF or Supertrapp?

Hi guys, I'm about to order an exhaust setup for my mostly stock 06 vmax. the only thing it has in way of modifications are 1: t-boost 2: k&N filter. Here are some points to take into consideration: 1:) I would really like to leave my carbs completely stock, with the exception of maybee...
