I just removed 14" Kawi shocks from mine. They were expensive but with the progressive front springs and fine adjustment of the steering head bearings and a smaller front tire,it made a big difference, [not perfect], to the handling. They look better too.

Don`t expect it to handle like your gsxr. unless you add a lot of mods. I live in New Hr, Trinity Bay about 100km from St John`s. I have Progressive springs in front and "piggy back" shocks at rear plus a framebrace, It made a big difference but still not sport bike cornering. According to...

If you have to change the seal do NOT buy the aftermarket. Make sure you get the Yamaha seals. They cost more but they are the only ones that are any good. There have been a few posts on this problem.

The ALL Balls gave out in the first 15 km. Not sure about KTM but stock seals are perfect.

All Balls fork seals are junk. Mine lasted less than 10 km. They appear to be very slightly oversize and you have to really force them into place. The stock seals are more expensive but they work.
