When I first bought the bike over winter I never noticed this issue I can't remember. I wonder if adding a battery tender wire to the battery post could have a issue with one of the wires not having good contact? I guess I am going to check that as well.

I had the same issue but mine is due to my fuel switch on the handle bar or relay. I switch it to reserve and it goes away, I put it back to normal and around 2500 to 3000 I get a pop change it back to res and it runs like a champ :bang head:. What should I look for for problems. It seems to not get enough gas when its not on reserve. I always thought I had a lean condition due to a off throttle pop. How I found what the problem was I was riding it around and thought that I was running out of gas hit reserve and right away the bike...

Thanks, I know it was rough I debated about it for three weeks. They have two more FZ1 06s on the floor. My friend is kicking the idea around too since its so cheap.

I know nows the time to start hitting them up on the older new bikes they are not able to sell. I just bought a new 06 FZ1 for $6800. out the door with everything I am pretty happy with the price concidering a local shop has a 2005 FZ1 with 7800 miles asking $5,895.99 and mine has only 5 miles...

This is just me but I love the sound of my bike with supertraps. I always get peoples heads to turn at the bike meets or just riding downtown or it could be my damn good looks but I really think its the exhaust LOL :biglaugh:

I am new to the V-max so please excuse this but in all the other bikes I had when I switched from a stock filter to a K&N stock replacement I always had to rejet due to it went too lean and would get the decel pop. Thats even after I tried to get away with just adjusting the a/f screws still was...
