    larger L3K fuel tank

Hi everyone. Thanks. Yes, it is a Gen II product. Essentially no mods to the bike are required. Bumps it to 6.6 gallons :) But not cheap.............

    larger L3K fuel tank

I just got an L3K fuel tank installed (25 liters or 6.6 gallons). Does anyone know how to interpret what the gas gauge means now? Like when it says 1/2 full, how much fuel is left? Or when the low fuel light comes on, how much is left? Thanks

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

Morley foot pegs On other's advice when I asked about foot peg options, I got in touch with Sean Morley. He had several choices, but I went with a set where he takes stock engine guards and stock foot pegs and welds them together. Then powder coats it all black. Since they're stock pegs they...

    highway / foot pegs

I have an '06 with factory engine guards / crash bars. I'm looking for a set of foot pegs I can add on to them for long ride comfort. Partly it's because I just got a Maxgasser seat, and it causes you to sit a little farther forward which causes your knees to bend a little more which my 56 year...

    Total Control Vmax style!

I took the Total Control class last year in Lacey WA from an outfit called Puget Sound Safety. I went with my '06 Vmax. As Zach said, it was really awesome! Crazy to get to where you can do tight figure 8's dragging foot pegs on a 'max. Who says it can't do anything but a straight line...

    I am not starting a tire thread..but..

I’ve tried a few brands but Avon tires have been amazing for me. They grip very well, all the way over to scraping foot pegs in a tight figure 8, which I learned it will do taking a Total Control riding class. They last (even with some very hard riding). You can get them V rated as opposed to H...

    Avons..

Hmmm. Sorry to hear it. The Avon tires have been great for me. They grip very well for me, and I do have to ride in the rain since I live in Portland OR, or otherwise I couldn't hardly ride...... What sizes were you running? I run stock sizes which are the AM26 Roadrider 110/90V-18 in the front...

    Interesting batteries

Ignorant input: I replaced my stock battery with the Odyssey PC680 and it's done me great. If I wanted to lose a few pounds I should it off of me..... ha ha Weigh 225, should be about 205 maybe :)

    Users Vs. Contributers

I rarely get to be on here, and I am definitely a consumer and not a contributor. Only thing I've felt comfortable sharing my experience about is tires....... On the other hand, because of this resource I've: Fixed my low speed wobble (video by Sean Morley). Installed Progressive springs and...

Steering head bearing condition and its consequences

Just as an aside; I followed Sean Morley's video for tightening the steering head to get rid of the low speed shake. IT WORKED GREAT!!! amazing! I've also run it up to 130 mph since then with no trouble either.

Rear Tyre size.....again and rear shocks

I think that mucking around with the tire size adversely affects the handling even though it might "look cool." I use an Avon AM42 Venom 150/90VB-15 in the rear and I have Progressive 440's on the rear. Rides and handles great. Rolls all the way over to scraping foot pegs in a tight figure 8...

best tire and size for stock rims

I’ve tried a few brands but Avon tires have been amazing for me. I’ve tried a few but Avon tires have been amazing for me. I've run multiple sets by now. VMax fuel mileage

I've had two bikes. An '07 I put 26,000 on before I totaled it (long story) And an '06 I currently have put 7,000 on The '07 averaged 37.0 mpg (ranged from 25 to 46) over all kinds of driving, including racing a cop (totally by mistake) at 112....... and a few runs at 130+ The '06 is running an...
