    Right boot protector

I made a bracket from thin aluminium sheet, painted black, to cover the rear brake master mounting as it was damaging my right boot. It uses the same bolts. The photos say it all.

    clutch master or slave?

... but first hello and hi to all. I stopped posting for a number of reasons, mainly as I wanted to reduce the amount of time I spent online. I had this issue last year where after my bike standing for a while (6 months) the clutch lever has no resistance. I got around it last year by...

    How much?!?!?!?

80 grand for this? Engine seized, incomplete and rusty o_O . It's difficult to put a value on as it is unique but unless it has provenance, like owned by T E Lawrance, asking price IMO is somewhat optimistic (by a factor of 100) here's the link if you want to bid...

    Fuel pump switch

I have wired a halo LED switch to the fuel pump. This serves 2 purposes: 1. A simple anti theft device 2. Drain carbs of fuel before lay up when engine is running and switch is off. Now here's the unexpected thing. The LED is connected between power and ground to the fuel pump, after the...

    Brake modification

I cannot say I have found the standard brakes (4 pot) lacking in anyway but the mod monkey won't stop jabbering and is making work for idle hands..... So I have accumulated and cleaned up a pair of Sumitomo 6 pot callipers and R1 blue spot callipers (actually silver spot). I also find the Vmax...

    Painting vinyl?

    Trouble starting

Not a big problem but if possible I'd like the engine to start up quicker. Not ridden for maybe 1-2 months but once or twice a week I turn on the ignition to let the fuel pump top up the carbs. (probably 5-10 seconds at most) Choke fully on, crank over for about 5-10 seconds and doesn't...

    Welcome to the future

One day, Tesla, or another manufacturer will make electric motorcycles so it this the sort of nonsense we can expect https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-59357306 An app to unlock your car? Madness. I'd also be concerned the app is monitoring my movements and the ability to turn off my car...

    Honda CBX100 ...

... but not as we know it. Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion, but mine is this is repulsive and a waste of a CBX 1000 engine.

    One for the guitar players

I know there are a few on here that play guitar. I wonder what you make of this - I can't play but this sounds like a decent attempt. PS anyone know where it was filmed, possibly Greece?

    Now we're talking ...

This in my opinion is how Kawasaki should have made it. Z1300 with Z1000 tank, tail and panels. If only I had garage space......

What are these engine brackets ?

Anybody recognise the alloy (?) engine brackets on this bike? Appear to be 3 piece that replace the original steel triangles. There is a name cast/machined/stamped but is too small for me to read.

    Tom's friend

Funny bit is when the commentator said the roads were busy LOL nowadays the roads around town are virtually a car park. Note also hand signals. Note newspaper board "Queen in Ethiopia", Feb 1965.
