What is a fair price for my VMAX

I have my '93 listed on Craigslist for $2995 and all I'm getting are offers to trade junk cars or '72 ironhead Sportsters.

    H-D recalls

The Brembo brakes with ABS on my '08 Ultra Classic are the best brakes I've ever had on a bike. The only thing my Vmax does better than my Harley is go really fast in a straight line, and that it does really well.

    H-D recalls

Damn, where did you get that idea? Nowhere have I ever seen that before here and I've riding (and stopping) Harleys for many years. I seldom ever use the rear brake, maybe the last 10 feet at a stop light, or holding the bike on a hill.

    Harley stock hit hard

Of course no one does, nor do any TV, computer, automobile, refrigerator, etc. makers manufacture anything totaly in the USA. There are many materials and parts that can't be made here due to EPA, etc. overregulating everything in the manufacturing sector. In the case of motorcycles...

    Harley stock hit hard

The last Goldwing produced in the USA was in 2009. Then Honda moved the assembly line back to Japan.

    Harley stock hit hard

And which Honda bike is manufactured in the USA? None, as a matter of fact. As a "professional biker" you should know that. Harley and Victory are the only ones. I've owned 3 Yamahas, 1 Honda, 1 Triumph, 1 Suzuki and 6 Harleys. The Harleys have been the most trouble free of the bunch, by...

I've only ever seen one other Max in town...

yes, they do, and only one source of HD's and parts. Go to HDforums.com (178,000 members)and see how many thousands of Canadians own Harleys, even RaWarrior might be surprised.

That ought to tell you something, huh? Or maybe Canadians aren't "uber-patriotic" Americans.

Questions/statements from a prospective ebay bidder.

The first thing you should is restrict him from bidding. He is going to be a pain in the ass no matter if he is a scammer or not.

    Caution...political thought

I don't think anyone can figure that out.

    Caution...political thought

Because the mainstream media has only one goal, get Obama elected - again!

    Chrome socket cap plugs

And since they're probably not assholes, they'd even sell them to you.

    Clutch line fitting size?

That's exactly what I'd do but I'd kinda like for the clutch line to match the brake line (in looks) and I already have a Russell brake line.

    Clutch line fitting size?

I bought a Russell clutch line and it is made to go directly to the slave cylinder. I want it to connect at the rigid pipe like the stock one does. Does anyone know what type/size fitting I need to put on the line I have. I'm hoping someone local can cut off the banjo fitting that is on the line...

    My fork seal saga continues...

Thanks for your help, that worked like a charm. A good night's sleep, a vice, and a breaker bar and it came loose.

    My fork seal saga continues...

Thanks, you give me hope. :) I'll give that a try in the morning.

    My fork seal saga continues...

I just put it back together and tried the impact again with no luck. I'm giving up for tonight. I'm going to borrow my buddy's Snap-On impact tomorrow and see if it is better than my cheapie. If that doesn't get it I'll try a breaker bar then try to dig the seal out without scratching it up...
