    Replacing Carb Diaphragms

Diaphragms were always a PITB until I got 2 good sets for the bikes.. Both ran perfect for many years and still are once I got the carbs synced perfectly... :)

    three percent the truth

I have been fighting Socialism / Communism most of my 67 years. That's how I view the Democrats. JFK was the last Democrat that I Loved.. Our Government needs to be shaken up and Trump is doing his absolute best to do that... I want to see the Constitution of our Republic Stand and be Respected...

    Friend died in car crash

It's difficult losing a friend. My condolences go out to you and everyone involved. I personally have spent my life with death of friends as an all the time thing. Being around it has numbed me to the after effects of it. Involvement with the Military and 1% MC's. It has been a weekly or daily...

    Fuel Mileage

Stay away from Ethanol . It's crap the Government forced on us. Mileage and engine will suffer from it's use, Most of the break in took place in the first 20 miles. Sounds like you are doing perfect, the rest of the break in is to seat everything in gradually. I wanted a gen 2 but it felt like...

Where does everyone set their shift lt. at?

89 had no rev limiter and would make power to the Ozone if you weren't careful. Very Modified. 94 was set up with ECU to 9,000, you start to lose power after that anyway. Lightly Modified with Aftermarket ECU..

    Age of Vmax owners

I'm 67. Just sold my last Vmax. I had 2 bikes 89 (Skullduggery) 94 (Strafer). I had major back surgery early this year and the Vmax's were a little bit heavy.See my Albums. I still have a Full On 05 Sportster. It's like a Bicycle. Doesn't mean I don't still Love Vmax's and everyone here, Your My...

    Plugs

I have always made sure my Vmax's were tuned to perfection by me. I also carried spare parts (New Plugs) Etc. only trouble I had was using Ethanol on a trip where I couldn't find a Non Ethanol Gas Station... Vmax's are extremely Reliable. As I always said: "I wouldn't hesitate to take one of...

    As bad as it gets!

I hope that I'm reading this right... I am a person who treats everyone nicely until they don't return the same. I am heavily armed and easily pissed. Can become racist in a heartbeat no matter what origin or color you are... Believe me you don't want to be there... It'll be a trip through...

    Ethanol vs Non-Ethanol

I tune for 91 octane. The guy that bought Skullduggery (High Compression Motor, around 13:1) has been running 90 Octane with no complaints. Runs Fine...I hate that the Govt. snuck Ethanol in. Everything I owned ran like crap until I figured it out.

    Ethanol vs Non-Ethanol

I even run Non Ethanol in My Weed Whacker.... My Brother in Law made a Fortune rebuilding Fuel Systems of people that used Ethanol. Ethanol just doesn't cut it for me. Ethanol is 20% less efficient vs a Non Ethanol. That even when the vehicle is set up to run it. I run enough High performance...

what has happend to the forum

Wow I remember you all. No new faces though... I had back surgery in Jan. but the Vmax's are still too heavy to be safe on them. Sold both of my Vmax's but still have a lot of parts to go. If any of you still do that... I will post what I have soon( Disregard the prices for the parts I have the...

My Intro followed by a VBoost question.

I had 2 bikes, a 89 Hot Rod that was quicker than crap on stock carbs. I got 33 miles per gallon with it average of driving fast and cruising 70 or 80. Also had a truly mint 94 with an Ignitech set on the most modest setting. Bike was still quick but made about 20 less HP. It's average MPG was...

Good compression, but really bad leak-down test?

I've had 2 Vmax's. One in immaculate condition. Under 20 k Miles.. One Modified with 37 k Miles.. The first read 160 on all 4 cylinders with a slight variation of about 5 Pounds Max. Minimal leak down. The one with Engine Mods reads 220 + or - about the same with minimal leak down. Both run...
