im 5' 6" and 170 pounds and i love the way i fit on my max i put a drag bar on and plan to drop it an inch but as it is know i can sit almost flat footed now. get a vmax you will love it. it will pull hard all the way to redline it all the gears.

i have one and love it you can feel it at about 4k gives you a little guicker take off. as for running rich i dont see how it would cause that on a cv type carb if your to rich is because of the jetting and needle postion not how many carb your pulling off of.

no marks will not fit stock headers pipe is bigger and diffrent location. but they sound great like an indy car

thanks for the help only problem i had is i missed a heat shield bolt on the bottom right stock exhaust it was a bitch to get loose with the pipe unbolted but i got it sounds great. took it for a ride lost some low end so im going to shim the needles 1mm i will let you know how that works

ordered marks 4in2 ss system with 2.25 openings 12 inch cans and no turndowns it got here tonight. going to take a half day tommorow to put it on any one have any pointers on the install. never had the stock one off not sure where to start

i think we need to find somone with the right equipment to make an injection mold so we can get the cost down. then i would buy one

got 102 miles this fill up and took 3.5 to fillup but thats 29 mpg its getting better going to try to stay out of the throttle this tank and see if thats the problem

well i got the bike out this weekend and only got 87 miles before the light came on filled the bike up and it took 3.3 gallons of gas. which is only 26.3 mpg. i run it a little hard but still think i should get more mpg than that.

im o+ to i havent donated in a while but i did regulary when i lived in chicago need to get back into to doing that never no when i will need some

i think i looked at that bike last year found it on craigs list in kansas city if its the same bike it has slipons and the rear wheel is offset pretty far. i thought it was too high when i looked at it at 3900 last dec for the miles

well i sync-ed the carbs the right rear carb was wayout and the left and right side was a little off but its raining here so i will have to wait to see if it inproves my mileage.

it was about 24 to 27

i havent checked carb sync only had it a short time and it was running good so didnt think about it i will check that thanks

i did the math each time i filled up took miles driven by gallons pumped and avg. about 25 miles per gallon

Re: fuel milage i have checked for leaks and looked a the plugs there a light tan. it runns great i am on the throttle pretty hard and run on the highway at 80 to 100. but i would think it would get better milage

I have only put 245 miles on my 1990 vmax it is stock except for uni foam air filter and the exhaust has been modified with 5 3/8 holes in cans. as far as i know everthing inside is stock. my question is i am already on my fourth tank of gas and only avg. about 75 miles onthe first two so i...
