I just went to Lowe's and grabbed some allen head screws. Only a couple bucks for all 16.

    Still not running right...

I messed around with it today and was able to get all 4 carbs. to read just a hair over 5 on the Weber tool. Hopefully, this does the trick. Haven't had a change to ride it yet, I'll report back later. Thanks again, gentlemen!

I'll have to try that, thanks.

I got the Weber carb. sync. tool you guys recommended to sync a bike with Stage 7 and there seems to be no ryme or reason to how this thing is adjusting. Shawn Kloker was nice enough to PM me a quick write up advising me to set the idle around 1100rpm's, use the screw on the left to sync 1-2...

    Please Drink Carefully

Not sure what makes one think that drinking something while it's on fire is a good idea.

    Stage 7 guys

Yes, it still had the restrictor in it. I didn't even know about the restrictor until recently. This VMax has been a learning process for me, too. I'm sure I'll screw it up a few times before I get it right.

    uneven exhaust note.

Re: unsimilar exhaust note. I think it's normal because mine does it as well. Funny thing is, I can only hear it with my helmet on.

    Stage 7 guys

No mesh, basically just a washer about an 1/8th inch thick and the diameter of the hose with a tiny hole in it about the diameter of the point of a pen. I'd bet you could just drill a hole in something to restrict the purge. I tried re-installing the OEM oil filler cap and just running a...

    Stage 7 guys

I had alot of the same questions you have. There is a restrictor that you press into the crankcase vent to prevent it from purging oil. The hoses on my kit were dry-rotted and the puke can leaked so I removed all of that crap. I went to Lowes, grabbed about 6ft. of half inch hose, ran the oil...

    Never seen this before...

Hmm...O.K., I have to be suckin' air somewhere then because these plugs are almost bone white. The jet kit is a DJ stage 7. Could it be caused by the fittings plugged into the top of the front 2 K&N's? There's def. some air getting in through there, not much, but it's not air tight either. I...

    Never seen this before...

Just pulled the needle on one of my carbs to see where the clip position was set due to the lean condition I suspect. It's on the second position from the tapered end or 5th from the flat end but there is two small washers above the clip and a thicker plastic washer below it. What are these for...

    Here it comes.....

I hope so, that'll make my decision on which new bike to buy alot easier.

Problem with my bike. Need a shop that I can trust in Central NJ.

I second Mark's opinion. If you're going to read up on carb service and try this yourself, it helps to have the carbs right in front of you so you can translate the tech jargon to something tangible. Before you know it, you'll be a carb guru offering others jetting advice!

Some more carb questions from the FNG...

O.K., the sleeves are installed, there is no vboost components present except the servo that controls nothing, now. So how do I sync them if they are all working as one unit?

Some more carb questions from the FNG...

Yeah, I'm all about long rides but that's pushin' it! O.K., I'll check the needles and sync the carbs this weekend. Each slide opens up at a different time when I roll on the throttle. What's the correct vacuum reading on these things?
