I wonder if the tank is hand made so the each tank is different. When I push my tank in as far as it can be, the rear lining was off by almost an inch.

Yes I did. That thing is still in the same location, move back one screw hole and only tie down with one screw. Also your rear fender and the under liner might not married correctly when you put it back.

Hmm... Your gas tank sits about half inch further up than my tank. Anyway, this is how I route my cable. It's tight. It's ok to pinch it as long as the cable in the middle is free moving.

I might also have 1 gallon in reserve or so.. My fill up when the light comes on is around 5 to 5.5 gallons.

That is when the reserve light comes on. I haven't push it to total empty yet....

After few riding and fill up, I am doing average of 150 miles per tank. That is with some "fun rides", i think i could push 160 to 170 if i keep it under 80 mph. My current setup: airbox mod, ecu flash, Dam exhaust.

A little late to the party. Also check out Dam exhaust, it has a nice deep noise and they come with baffles if you think it's too loud.
