It has always been a rough shift. It will sometimes pop out right after the shift. Other gears seem to be fine.

2006 7000 miles oil changed every 1500 miles, pumpkin too.

My max has started slipping in second gear when I get on the gas. If I'm not gunning it no problem. Only second. Any thoughts?

Was in college graduated 85. Test drove v65 Saber that year but ended up going dirt with a CR 480. Wasn't till the kids got out of the house and into college before I finally got my max.

A friend and I were trying to remember what movies had VMaxes in them. I thought the bike Tom Cruise rode in Top Gun was a max but have not verified it. If you have Vmax's in the movies or on TV info please post. Thanks

We had a nice ride Saturday. 13 riders in all, 4 VMaxes. Rode right at 250 miles around Whitney. Riders came and went as they needed. All in all a real good time. Will do it again soon.

Anybody ever done a stoppie on a max. You see the sports bikes do them all the time. Think the forks could handle it?

Over on www.starvmax.com there is a forum article with a letter form Yamaha to a dealer about the timing for the release of the new Max. If I read things correctly it will be a 2009 model. Hopefully by then I'll have mine paid off and will be able to upgrade.
