my vmax came with new shinkos. also i bought the bike years ago. i have sense started racing with the cmra and have learned just how important tires really are. ive got a whobble as well and have a set of bridgestones going on. never agian with cheap ass tires.
ur bike looks a lot like mine, nice! ive heard from a friend that did the 17 in wheel swap that the bike had weird issues afterwards and wasnt the same. so keep th eold stuff just in case you run into any problems.
I believe that jet is called an air bleed jet and the plugs should stay put. If I recall I left so.ething in the carbs to act as a wedge. I've sense then I've installed a dynojet kit
ride them both and make your decision. the gen 1 will wet your whistle just fine. i think when you hammer on the throttle youll forget the scoops are fake.
ive really enjoyed time on my bike especially during the group rides through the twisties in the texas hill country. but going home often we will hit the highway. Going down I10 at 85 mph isnt a great place to be on the vmax.. what options are out there for windscreens for our bikes? 2002 model
yeah pull them back off and redo them again. i always use carb cleaner and compressed air and make sure all the ports flow just like the other carbs. i like to compare them all while im cleaning them. if 3 carbs do this and the 1 carb doesnt then you found your problem.
