Wow, I thought it was a simple thing like all were the same. all the more reason to have a competent wrench do the work. If I could find a engine that I felt comfortable with its condition I would probably go that way

Haven't found a used engine that I feel comfortable with its condition. They all look very rough and most have much higher milage then my engine. If you know of a engine I should look at I'd appreciate a heads up

I had a Norton 850 before I got my Max it was running great and as much as I like my Max I wish I had my Commando now.

Problem is I won’t know for sure until I get the cases open

the motor is making a knocking sound on the right side and after a couple of miles it won’t keep running without keeping the RPM above 4k. motor has not been abused and has 34k on it. what do you think?

trans works fine, probobly new cluch and anything else that would be found to be replaced when the cases are split

hello yall bill here. im trying to get some info on someone east of the texas who does overhaul on gen 1 engine. any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated

i met a guy from NC that took some fiberglass bags and turned them into gas tanks. he said that they give him about 650 miles when he fills all up. don’t know where he got them but they looked good. he had it so the bag tanks pumped into the main tanks.

Not today but recently I put a complete 94 front end including brakes on my 86. The difference is amazing. Would highly recommend this as an upgrade it’s easy and less expensive then other options.
