How did you get on with your chair modifications ?

Its more about reliability than power gains and secondhand carbs seam thin on the ground now days in NZ . I think that the more precise fuelling will compensate for any loss of flow so Im not expecting any loss in power and I have a dirty big sidecar on mine making it overpowered to begin...

Thanks for that Wildweasel but I don't understand what ever langue that is ! LOL Im converting the carbs to throttle bodys . The design is from http://www.roadstercycle.com/ . I do like the idea of less effort than setting different throttle bodys and Im lucky enough to have a couple of mates...

I take it that its not a problem for the oil light to come on sometimes ? I have a sidecar on mine and the oil light comes on if im pushing though the corners ! It is just a level indicator but still a bit disconcerting !

This COP conversion that has been talked about . I take it that when R6 was mentioned is from any year ? Also what wiring changes are needed ?

Has anyone taken this any further ? I don't think that you need multi point injection unless you are after extremely high performance . My Vmax has done 280,000 Miles and the carbs are totally worn out so converting to EFI seams like a good idea because the rest is still a good rely reliable...

I don't know of anyone else with a Vmax so no carbs to borrow :( Pulling the cold start on doesn't make any difference . This is why I started to think spark .

Good article . Mine idles sweetly and goes like a bat out of hell when the boost hits but I have a midrange miss that I cant seam to track down . Pulled carbs down , replaced rubber (they where stuffed) diagrams on the pistons , done the usual cracked rubber checks including engine start around...

Nice outfit. Mine is similar (even the same YELLOW) but no black on the chair and no fairing on the bike. From my own experience I would keep the front bike tire as the sidecar tires available are not suitable, They are ok with 45 hp but NOT with 145hp ! Also the wider the front tire the less...

Hey, I have a XJ750 with a Velorex and want to move up. Looking at buying a Vmax to put a chair on it. Is the steering heavy on yours ?
