Don't know what brand sync tool you have. You could be missing the restrictors in the tubes, that tends to make the guage jump around a bit. I'm in Aubrey with a Morgan Carbtune if you want to use it and see if you get a different reading.

I have a leak at the cap bolt washer on the tensioner. Is this just a plain ole crush washer I can pick up at a parts store? The Ron Ayers parts fiche only shows the entire tensioner assy. for $91. I don't think so. Anyone replaced this before? Thanks, Randall

Thanks Danny. Looks like i was right for once. Refilled the bowls and no leak. Guess the o-rings swelled back up and made a good seal. Glad I didn't go drilling on them. My backfiring through the carb also went away after warm up. Hell, maybe i oughta go buy a lotto ticket.

I'm thinking thats what happened with mine. Got busy with work and stuff and carbs sat on the bench for about a month. Gonna fill the bowls a little later to see if the fuel hydrated the o-rings enough to get them to seal. Kinda strange though, I've heard of bikes sitting around for years and...

Hey Danny. When you drill the plug are you going all the way through or just enough to get a screw to grab? How thick is the plug?

Nevermind. Found some threads on this problem.#3 and#4 carbs are leaking at the brass plug. Carbs back off AGAIN!!!

Silly me. I was about to trash the diaphram cover screws that were too short. When I realized, I still have button heads on my float bowls. turns out they're the same length.:eusa_dance: Still have one set left to give away.
