2003 Vmax I had the coils raised yesterday to access the battery, and noticed what looks like a crack in the plastic covering of each coil. Bike is running fine. Anything to worry about??

Thanks for all the help. Fire-Madic's thread sent me in the right direction. The key seems to be, "it's a Vmax, don't try to short cut." Pull the entire exhaust, including the crossover pipe, change the gaskets, I used a tail pipe spreader on the collector pipes. As Fire Medic's thread states...

Just installed an ecliptech today. Works great. Set it up for 3000 low and 9000 high. As you approach 9000, it's not the time to be looking down at the OEM tach. Ecliptech solves that problem, not that I'm at 9000 often, but it's nice info to have.

Would love to here more about the KOSO setup. Does the install really look like it belongs? Certainly is a great idea for the vmax. How difficult was it to install?

In reinstalling my front header pipes, I've realized that the flanges are not symmetrical . Looking from the top down, which way is correct, A or B? They seem to fit both ways. Can't find the answer in the manual.

2003 the black metallic and the silver stripes are painted on, followed by a clear coat that is semi flat. That's why the paint has a semi flat look. The easiest fix would be to mask out, and repaint just the silver stripes.
