sounds like your midrange is too fat, loading up while cruising, then has to get cleaned out. My bike does the same thing when I ride around with the wife on back for a while. I agree with no less than 8 disks, 12 or so would be better.

heated carbs are for sleds, they run coolant through them to keep them from icing up on very cold days, otherwise they hurt performance, just heating the fuel also. TPS is probably tied into the timing somehow?????

my friend just got a '08 nightrod special, but, back in '89 he had a brand new max that he bracket raced with, SO, I think he knows better. he just wanted a hardly.. Mid-life crisis????

Friend of mine just got a '08 night rod. haven't rode it yet, but we went out last night & riding next to him at about 80 mph it looked like that bike had pretty bad head shake. Almost like a max at 130 mph. when we stopped he was complaining about it & wanted to check it over today.

Damn, Sean. Why aren't you selling yourself on here more often. I own a heating & cooling business & I sell myself whenever possible. for $75.00 it isn't worth turning on the lathe, because the real work starts when you install them.
