I'm working on a xv920r chain drive now. The plan is to cafe it. I understand it wasn't fast but for most rides you never use all the power anyway. The most exciting bike for me to ride fast was my RD350. It wasnt the fastest, but the rush of acceleration at 6k was sweet.

there is a guy in pittsburgh who can set up the chinese RFY cheapies. takes them apart refits with new oil to the correct level and charges them with nitrogen. I have no experience with them just read article in Cafe Racer magazine. chrislivengood.net I might try one on my current xv920r cafe...
