Grayling Mi was a'lot of fun. We took Michele's jeep on the trail's by camp Grayling military camp and found a target area with retired military vehicle that had a bunch of bullet hole's in it and steel target area. keep out grenade and mortar area.

Glad your enjoying your new hobby Mike, missed you and all the other hooligans at Thunder this year and have been pondering that same issue myself. Don't get me wrong I Love my bike but it only takes one mindless asshole to make my kids fatherless. I was looking at those Polaris Slingshots myself and I'm sure the wife would have more fun than riding on back of my bike anymore. So it's either find someone who enjoys riding and likes being with me on the bike or getting a different type of recreational vehicle.

I agree when you have no others VMAX's around you to ride with it takes the fun out. I still enjoy going for short rides, 50-75 miles to clear my head. I have owned 8 VMAX's ( I am a rider not a mechanic for the record ) in my 61 years and the only accident I ever had was last spring when I bought my 2015 and drove up on my first motorcycle dolly, the damn thing was defective and I didn't know it until I was up on it.

It slid to the left and me and the bike slid right, I planted my right foot on the ground but the bike was 2" off the ground and the kickstand parts, spring got stretched and the rest of the parts that keep the kickstand tight fell off so it was a swinging piece of metal and my knee gave out on me so the VMAX landed on me. I was lucky and the handlebar end hit first and most of the bike was on me.

I got away with a knee surgery and about $500 in replaced parts and lost riding all year. Now it is in perfect condition, all new parts to replace anything that got scuffed up and I am riding whenever I can.

Would be nice to have other VMAX's to ride with but it is what it is.

hat would be great Bill but you know how anal I am about riding in the rain or nights, I'm a around town riders where I can get back if it even looks like rain.

Who knows, maybe in a few years I will get a Venture or Goldwing and then long trips will be OK...

Appreciate the gesture !!
