Today as I was arriving to Orlando, I had to stop for gas. As I got back on I-4, a bike went passed me that looked somehow familiar. I sped up to catch it and sure enough, it was a V-max!! Nice black and red one, and the guy looked like he was on the long haul - big rucksack on the back...

My max won't pull the front tire up in 1st gear unless I rev it up a bit and drop the clutch on it. Just cranking on it in 1st won't do it. My bike is bone stock. Is this normal or could my bike be out of tune? I wanted to run it on a dyno and think I may do that tomorrow night just to see...

Gotten comfortable on the Max and started rolling a little more aggessively on the throttle... Transmission is in need of work, obviuosly, as it pops out of first when I really get on it.... What am I looking at (repair wise) and could/should I do it myself?

Well I couldn't stand it. It is mid/upper 50's outside, even though the roads are TRASHED with being wet/sandy I got the bike out. I need to get a bucket of water and heat the garage up this week as it's gonna be in the 20's next week to wash the bike down, but it was worth it. I got a big...
