Hello All, I am looking for some ideas for a new tank bag for my 04 Max, currently I have a suction cup style system but after about 30 minutes of riding the small suction cups let go and the only thing holding it on is a neck strap and good luck. Anyone with a tank bag that works well...

Any input on what throw over saddlebags work well on the 1st gen. vmax? Appreciate any help.

I make a lot of trips back and forth to work in the summer and take my lunch with me....seems I am having some issues finding saddle bags that work with the Vmax...most hit the exhaust. I don't want to buy any of the expensive hard sets as it would be something I want to pull off when I go out...

Ok, so I was looking for bags for my VTX, and ran across www.ridebikegear.com They have good prices on hard bags and a "universal" mounting system. I just wonder if their mounting system would work on a Max? From their fine print, though, all sale are final. :confused2:

I just installed some FirstGear Silverstone saddle bags to my 2003 Max. I mounted them under the seat and they do not impede the passenger. I originally had some OLD Chase Harper ones that I was using, but they were fairly small and looked bad. The V-max is not a very 'saddle bag friendly' bike...
