    Draining battery problem

Hello all, I am having an issue where something seems to be killing my battery while my 85 vmax is off. It also seems to not be charging while running. My initial guess is the R/R for the charging issue. Haven't had time to go through the test chart and verify it. But just looking to see if...

Battery draining right before my eyes

Hi guys, have any of you ever seen a battery drain as soon as you take the tender off of it? The reason I ask is that I am having some sort of issue going on where I HAVE to leave the bike on a battery tender. Today I pulled the tender off and measured volts at 14.3 after it sat for a few...

Difficult to start, won't start hot, battery draining

I've got a weird set of intermittent issues with my Gen 1. It has a 1500 Tourmaster and flat side carbs fitted which may be contributing. However, the battery seems to drain significantly if I don't start it for a week or so. Is this normal? On top of that, it has become difficult to start when...

Have to change a radiator hose on my vmax, the fat one on the bottom of the radiator. Looking for information on how to drain the coolant beforehand. I saw what appeared to be a drain valve just a little lower than the hose I will replace. The tube it caps has a phillips head screw in the side...

    Question about draining bowls

Each time I have removed my carbs which are more than I would have liked to. I drained the bowls by the drain screws, the other day I read a post where they unplugged the fuel pump and then ran the bike until it stopped. Is either way better? does draining with the drain screws drain it better...

    Battery draining excessively?

Hi all: Here's my situation: 1) Brand-frickin'-new Odyssey PC680 2) Brand-new Odyssey charger 3) Brand-new R/R from Python (updated for 1996-2007 Maxes). After fully charging on charger, bike starts up just fine. Rode the bike or a while, then shut it down. At that point, I check...

    Draining the carbs

What is the best way to drain the carbs? I have a problem with fuel coming out of the vent lines (2002 VMAX with 3998 miles). I believe I am only having a problem with one of the carbs. The one on the left rear side (while sitting on the bike). If anyone can help with this problem it would be...
