So the 09 gains ~100lbs to 683 and gains ~50hp = ~.285 hp/lb The Gen 1 at 580 = ~.25 hp/lb And the ZX-14 at ~ 566lbs with ~ 162hp = ~.286 hp/lb Are these in the ballpark? How much more HP or how much less weight do you guys think it would take for the 09 to be the absolute, undisputed...

I am very intrigued by the new max. Anyone have horsepower numbers, top speed, quarter mile data, you know, the fun stuff. Rick

A few of my buddies have the 85 VMax and they claim that my bike only has 100 or so HP. Is this correct? I though the only de-tuned Max's were over sea's?? I bought my bike in Canada. Anyone with any info let me know. Thanks guys, great site!!

I know there is a thread out there on exhaust and eveyone's opinion on which is "the best". Having set my heart on the "look" of the Cobra slashcut slip-ons, I was wondering if anyone can explain (with data/details) why the Cobra (reportedly) drops your HP. Too restrictive? Too free flowing...

Anyone know just how much power is lost w/ the cobra exhaust? I bought my bike with them already on so I don't have a 'before' frame of reference. However, on my first trip to the track she did run very consistent in both ET and trap speed - but the trap speed was always a click below 112 mph...

I was wondering ...what's the average amount of HP gain from an Aftermarket exaust? I'm thinking all of them will come within 1-2 HP from another....but has anyone ever dyno'd a bike with just the exhaust...no other mods?????

Does anybody really know what the hp on the stock Euro Max really is? Either at the crank or at the rear wheel. TIA
