    Help ID'ing rear springs

I am trying to track down exactly what suspension modifications have been done by the previous owners of my Vmax. The PO said it has been lowered about an inch and it has Progressive springs. The shocks say Progressive on them, but what will tell me exactly what my set up is? Is all the lowering...

    Adjust Stock Rear Springs

When I bought my 06 last year it didn't come with the tool kit. I've never adjusted the stock rear shocks and I think it's about time I tried. What kind of wrench can I use without damaging the shock and do you guys have any suggestions as to the setting for a 225lb rider with about 20 lbs of...

RaceTech Springs and Emulators For 05+

I'm looking at ordering RaceTech emulators (S4301) which are supposed to work with the late model gen 1 forks. I heard some murmors though that the forks were further refined in 05. Do these still work in 05/06/07 forks? Any adjustments necessary?

Going to Prog springs, what oil?

OK so tomorrow I am trashing those soft OEM springs in favor of Progreassive ones, thanks to Kevman. In the past (with spindly forks on '86 + prog ) I used 15W fork oil, and felt an improvement. I also seem to remember someone (was it Sean?) saying you could use ATF as fork fluid, but not...

Is there a write up on how to remove the springs from front forks????

I am thinking about lowering the front of my bike. I was thinking about just removing the springs and cutting a couple inches off. If I ruin them then oh well, I will just buy a set of progressive lowering springs, so I will have nothing to lose if I screw it up. I really dont know squat about...

    New Springs Question

Put new progressive springs in the front fork. Came with pvc pipe that i cut to fit. My question is can I lower the front end more by cutting the pvc pipe more, is it that simple? If I do this how much can I lower it? Can I take the pvc pipe completely out. Lowering the front end does what...
