I just bought a 98 with 14,000 miles ran a little rough assumed just carbs. I have cleaned and bike runs great but is now smoking upon start up maybe 3 secs then clears until I start it again. Im thinking valve seals but looking for opinions.

Ok I had the carbs on the 85 gone thru - cleaned tin the ultra sonic cleaner. Bike runs great but wont 1st start for a bitch with out a little "aerosol" help...but then starts just fine after that... Help..what is my next step? Thank you!!
