All Vmax coils have common red/white wire (harness), which is ignition plus, module grounds other wire for spark.
10 Ford Focus coils have common purple wire, which works the same, I believe (ign plus).
Unfortunately I cannot find focus diagram just to make sure coils get ign. plus all the time.
So I am just going to connect red/white Vmax wires to purple Focus wires.
I believe all bike and car 2 pin coils get constant plus and another wire is grounded for spark.
(Toyota 4-pin coils work "backwards": ECM sends voltage to get spark)
I will try to find any Ford diagram 07-up to check)
Yellow connector on the picture is from cracked coil, but harness common wire is red/white.

Just have to be careful of the ohm loads created through the CDI box as that is the most likely part to fail if the loads increase too much (lower ohms usually equal higher loads).
