Hello people,
I haven't been active for a while, but I sure have been reading various threads.
I want to put a Metzler 880 170-80-15 on the rear, and run 12.5 Progressive 430 shocks.
Do I have enough clearance in there for this combination.
thanks

Won't be a problem of rubbing with the combination. May have to do the washer swap for the tire to swingarm clearance, if anything.

You could run 11.5's with that combo. If your weight is really high you may have an issue.

I have 12.5" 440s with a 170 metz. No problem! :eusa_dance:

I weigh 200 lbs. Looks like 12.5 in should be fine.
thanks,

Do you ride two up? My buddy ran that combo with 11.5's and weighed 250. His wife was probably 135-145 and they didn't have an issue. Plus he had the 50 pound Corbin seat as well! lol

It all comes down to the look you want.

I'm going to be running 12.5's soon but had 11.5's and they were fine for my weight which is more than 250. :damn angry: Two up is where I had the issue but I am also running a 180 radial on an 18" wheel.

No issues...but...I have a notched braced swingarm! :eusa_dance:

Dale,
How do you like the ride with the 440's and Metzler. Is it a lot better than stock?
