Is there a VMAX ride at dragon in Sept 2014?

I haven't heard of anything, but maybe you could start putting a ride together? I wouldn't mind getting back down there some time in September...

Not sure about September, but I have a group of 5 bikes heading to the Tail area for Aug 16-22. We will be at the Ironhorse Motorcycle Lodge in Stecoah, NC if anyone here happens to be in the area, look me up! Would love to have a couple more Maxes on board to ride with- Mine is the only one on this trip

I know a couple years ago VMAO had a get together the end of august there im not sure if its every year. I know ill be there second week of october but rented a cabin in gaitlingburgh for my hunny moon. Were bringing the bike

I'll be dragging a trailer through there behind my Honda on Fri, Aug. 29th, on the way to this years' Rune rally in GA. We'll get to buzz down the Moonshiner 28 hwy as well.

Seems like every time Shala & I make it over there, it's always on the Hondas. I'd really like to do it on a Vmax some day.

Last I heard the Vmax rally is the weekend of 12-14 Sept.

A group of Vmax and I just got back from the Dragon !
We ran into Red Bone and Friend (Sorry not good with names)
Had a great time and might be going to the get together in Sept.

There is a Rally at Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort US 129 (Tail of the Dragon) Robbinsville N C the weekend of Sept 12-13. # for room reservations 828 498 2231. The Resort has a web site for more info.
This is a fine time of the year to ride the Smoky Mts. of North Carolina, not so HOT.
If this is on your bucket list, or you haven`t rode this area now is the time to do it. We have had great Rallies the past few years with no accidents. (YEA) hope this run keeps going.
Call for reservations at the Resort and be there.

I was just there 8/13-8/16 with the wife. We did the dragon, hwy 28, the Cherohola Skyway, and the BRP from Cherokee to Boone. We had a blast. I normally go to the area every June with the M109 for a pre-meet. We stayed at the Ramada in Maggie Valley, but there are plenty of good, cheap hotels in the Valley to stay. All only a short drive from great roads.

Yes indeed, the weather was great, and I acturally believe I did it as fast, or faster on the stang than I have on either of my bikes. This makes my 7th straight trip to the area, and one of my most memorable because the wife got to go with me. Maybe in a year or two we can do it again.. But, it will be on a can am spyder next time. She will not ride 2 wheels.
