Hello everyone! I recently bought a new to me vmax, and I need to replace the fork seals. I cannot seem to find any info on the amount of oil per fork? I was just wondering if anybody knew or had a source for the info?

Also, what a wonderful site here! So much info, I could read for days!

Blessings,
Doug

I have it like right about 1 pint is 16 Ozs . But according to the instructions you need to measure down in the fork like 5.5"... I think this is for the earlier models.. Look it up on Youtube- Sean has a video showing the amount or how to measure it. I believe it talks about both sets of forks. Let me double check which service manual I have again... I have a 90 which has the 40mm forks, and I also have a 95 which has the 43mm forks. I have the newer Manual here at work, not the one for the older forks.. You should be able to find it in the forum also...

Yamaingha Service Manual Section 2 page 24.
Each Fork:

After filling, pump the forks slowly up and down to distribute the oil.
